Never Back Down
Over the weekend I saw the movie called Never Back Down. This movie was about a teenager named Jake who recently moved to a new town in Tampa, Florida where the kids were harsh and brutal fighters. The character managed to get beat up and get hurt badly but decided to learn how to fight and learn it well. He worked day and night to become one of the towns best fighters with a lot skill and determination. While learning how to fight he also learned how to contain his anger and his self hatetred for the people that he wanted to hurt. This movie truly showed what hard work and effort could do. I learned that a person could do whatever they have to do know matter what the challange is as long as they work hard enough for it. The movie taught me that with strengh and discpline any goal no matter how hard it may seem to reach can be reached. Overall this was a great movie that truly defined determanation and self reliance with oneself. This movie has also inspired me to never give up and to keep fighting for what you want.

Dear ester, I truly beleive that it is so very important that people stand up for what they beleive in. Determination and perserverence are such wonderful qualites to develop in life, they can help one go very far. I always try to put up a fight for the things i am passionate about, when someone gives up they don't just give up on the cause, they essentailly give up on themselves and the people counting on them, this movie has inspired me to go and watch it, perhaps I might discover something to fight for.
ReplyDeleteI agree with your idea that if you strive in hopes for accomplishing something, you will most likely succeed. People are forced to adapot ans assimilate to the enviornment they are exposed to. The fact that he moved to a new town and was is a way "forced" to learn how to defend himself contributes to him learning how to fight. We live in a tough world and its almost as if the people around us shape our perceptions and influence our behavior. It almost always happens where people end up formulating certain ideas and take on certian characteristics due to their situation. He needed to teach himself to fight in order to survive as well as earn respect. His environment impacted him in to making his desicons.
